Leonhard Föcher in the WAZ Gladbeck september 20th 2020
Interzone perceptible played to the silent movie "Orlacs Hände" from
1924 at Maxus Gladbeck. The musicians created a captivating
atmosphere. (...) The individual instruments faded into the
background. Accordion
and electric bass could only be heard sporadically. It was not a
staging of a classical instrumental silent film accompaniment, but a
transformation in which set pieces of individual media and instruments
created a new whole. The playing of the two musicians did not
interpret or accentuate the individual scenes, as one would expect
from an "ordinary" musical silent film accompaniment, but rather
merged with them. (...) The audience was confronted with a single
sound entity, into which the course and the images of the film
mingled. (...) The plot of the film was dissected in a way that defied
expectations. The audience was confronted with a work that allowed for
completely new meanings and interpretations. (...)
